CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic care involves the diagnosis, prevention, and manual treatment of the joints and muscles of the body, including the back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, elbows, hands, etc. Our Chiropractor may use a variety of treatment methods including manual joint manipulation (adjustments) and/or gentle mobilizations to improve range of motion. Soft tissue release is also utilized where appropriate, which may be with manual techniques, or with a variety of tools including gua sha techniques, vibration, and/or simple stretching. You may also receive a specific rehabilitative exercise program, athletic taping, lifestyle and nutritional recommendations, or medical acupuncture as part of your care.
MASSAGE THERAPY
Massage Therapy involves the hands-on manual manipulation of the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments, and joints of the body. It may be used in both acute injuries and chronic conditions to decrease pain, release tight tissues, improve joint mobility, stimulate muscles for performance, or improve lymphatic drainage. Your treatment may range from Deep Tissue or Sports Massage with a focus on specific muscles, or General Relaxation with a broad focus on the body as a whole.
PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy involves the assessment, prevention, and treatment of the muscles, nerves, joints, and related tissues of the body. Both acute injuries and chronic conditions may benefit from physical therapy. This includes post-surgical and pre-surgical rehabilitation, post-fracture, post-dislocation, sport and other injuries, arthritis, etc. Treatment includes a well-rounded combination of manual therapy including mobilizations, soft tissue release, taping, ultrasound, and exercise instruction.
PERSONAL TRAINING
LASER THERAPY
Laser therapy is a safe, clinically proven treatment modality for a variety of conditions, and has been shown to eliminate pain, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing. The application of cold laser therapy delivers billions of photons of visible and invisible (infrared) light deep into tissues. This light gets absorbed by chromophores and cytochromes in the tissue cells which convert this light energy into chemical energy for the cell to use. An increase in chemical energy utilized by the tissue significantly accelerates the healing process naturally.
GLA:D ARTHRITIS PROGRAM
GLA:D® Canada is an evidence-based program for treatment and management of osteoarthritic symptoms of the hip and knee. The program consists of 2 educational sessions and 12 neuromuscular group exercise sessions, each 60 minutes, over 7 weeks total.
